2024 RGA Survey

Thanks for playing with RGA this year.  We would appreciate your response to the questions below.  You may wish to use “RGA 2024 Summary” to share what you liked, did not like and suggestions for improvements.  Please complete by October 1 so we can discuss at our “Annual Meeting” following the Rocky Point Tournament on October 5.

RGA 2024 Summary:

RGA had 29 members in 2024, no change from 2023.  Three members were new in 2024. Through 8 events, we averaged 16 golfers (roughly 15 members and 1 guest) usually set up in 4 or 5 tee times.   About 45% of the members have played in at least four of the eight events so far.  We do have several members ‘on the sidelines’ for some medical issues and we wish them the best and hope to see them in 2024.

Fees in 2024 averaged $ 59 up from $ 57 last year (this includes $ 5 per player for prizes). The tournament fees ranged from $50 at Mt. Pleasant to $ 55 at Pine Ridge, Honey Run, Tanglewood and Glade Valley (our ‘new course’ in 2024) and then $60 Clustered Spires, Compass Pointe, and Diamond Ridge. The Bridges was $ 65 , the other Baltimore County Courses we had to contract with (Fox Hollow and Rocky Point) were $ 65 and $70 for Saturday at noon. We saved at least $ 10 per player by playing courses like Compass Pointe on a Thursday assuming we could even get tee times on a Friday or Saturday! Guests fees or members paying at the course pay $5 more per round.  Weekend start times for our first group ranged from 10:30 am to 12:00 pm.  The new Baltimore County rules will not let us book any starts before noon.  Our 2024 prizes totaled $95 per tournament – $30 for first place, $20 for Second place, $15 for third place and two closest to pins.  All scores are net scores with Course handicaps set for each tournament.

We implemented a RGAgolfclub.com web site in 2021 to handle most information including schedule, entry forms, pairings, results and historic information. .  We hope (and appreciate the feedback) that sending an email with a link to the website has been easier for most rather than ‘long lists’ to scroll through.
